A Provençal interlude, simple and lovely
Tucked into the heart of a restored village of holiday cottages, Le Snack de La Pousterle is a terrace perched up high, a view that opens 180° across the Cèze valley, and food without fuss: fresh salads, bruschetta, sharing boards, an evening hot dog, and warm waffles to finish on a gentle note.
Fifteen minutes from Bagnols-sur-Cèze and close to the river beaches of the Cèze, Le Snack is open from 1 May to 31 August. It welcomes passing walkers and the families staying in the estate's cottages alike. People come for a coffee on the terrace as the day winds down, for a summer supper with the garrigue all around, for an ice cream after a swim, or simply to linger over the sunset — golden hour over Sabran is worth the detour.
The cooking is simple, generous and unpretentious. Produce is local whenever possible, prices are gentle, and the welcome is that of a house that knows how to receive its guests. Welcome.
